Join Our Team!
Masters and Doctoral Students
We are currently recruiting talented graduate students to join our team! Students should be interested in studying the brain and physical/mental health in individuals with and without disabilities. Completed coursework in neuroscience, exercise science (exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor behavior, etc.), anatomy and physiology, statistics, developmental psychology or human development will help students transition into graduate work in the lab. Research experience, particularly with pediatric neuroimaging and/or working with individuals with disabilities, is highly desired. Please contact Dr. Pangelinan for more details and information regarding assistantships.
Undergraduate Research Assistants
We are currently recruiting students interested in becoming certified, adapted fitness instructors! Students must complete KINE3030 (Intro to Personal Training). Students will complete KINE3031 under Dr. Pangelinan and her graduate students to provide adapted personal training with individuals with developmental (e.g., Autism, Down syndrome, Intellectual disability) or acquired disabilities (e.g., TBI). Funding is available to provide students with certifications for students able to commit to providing at least 60 hours of personal training after obtaining their certifications.
We have a limited number of undergraduate research assistantships available. Undergraduate research assistantships typically involve a 2-semester commitment (Fall/Spring, Spring/Summer, Summer/Fall). Undergraduate research assistants may sign up for 1, 2, or 3 credits (equivalent to a total of 30, 60 or 90 hours a semester) of undergraduate research.
Please contact Dr. Pangelinan for more information. Please include "Adapted personal trainer" or "Undergraduate research assistant" in the subject line.
