Emily Munn (Doctoral Student)
Emily was a member of the Auburn University Swim Team. She received her Bachelor's in Exercise Science and her Masters in Special Education at Auburn University. She has been running the adapted swim program in the lab since Summer 2016. Her research interests focus on the effects of adapted swimming lessons on swim skill, swim safety, social functions, and emotional regulation in individuals with disabilities. More recently, Emily is looking into the effects of aerobic exercise on attention in individuals with disabilities.

Davis Dyke (Doctoral Student)
Julia Montagner Sassi (Doctoral Student)Julia earned her Bachelor's from UNIFRA (Brazil) in Psychology. She completed her Masters in Exercise Science here at Auburn University. Her interests are motor and cognitive development in children from low socioeconomic status. Julia enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Danielle Carabello (Master's Student )

Danielle graduated from Temple University with her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. She graduated this May with her Master's in Exercise Science from Auburn University and will begin her doctoral studies under Dr. Pangelinan in the Fall. Danielle's research interests are: Examining the relationship between physical fitness (i.e., aerobics and strength training) on cognitive function and gross motor skills in individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities as a function of age and identifying risk factors for injury in individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities participating in physical activities and sports. Additionally, Danielle will be looking at cognitive function and neurological markers in individuals with disabilities.

Carley Wilson (Undergraduate Research Fellow)Carley's research will investigate the influence of physical activity on sleep in children with and without disabilities and young adults over the course of short-term physical activity interventions.
