Adapted Swim
The adapted swim program is aimed at promoting life-saving swim safety and basic swimming skills for children with and without physical disabilities (e.g., cerebral palsy, spina bifida, etc.) ages 4 and older. There will be a limit of 15 participants per session.
The beginner program for non-swimmers consists of 10 classes held Monday-Friday nights starting May 20-24, May 28-May 31, and June 3. The cost for the beginner program is $150.
May 20-24: 6-6:45pm

June 3: 5-5:45pm
The refresher program for swim skill and stroke development consist of 5 classes held May 28-31 and June 4th. The cost for the refresher program is $75.

This is a family-based program so at least one family member (parent or sibling ages 16+) will be in the pool assisting. Additional assistants will be assigned to families if a family member is unable to be present. Certified swim instructors will lead the sessions and participants will progress through the activities at their own level.
If you are interested in participating in our research study examining the effects of adapted aquatics instruction on health and behavior of individuals with and without disabilities, please indicate your interest in the form below. We will send you details via email. This research study would require 2 additional 30 minutes sessions. The pre-test will be scheduled on May 10th from 4-7pm. The post-test will take place before the last swim session (4-5pm). Successful completion the pre/post testing will result in a $50 compensation for the beginner program and $25 for the refresher program.
